I live in Maine across from a farm that is in a land trust . I always ask permission before I go hunt there but someone told me that since it’s in a trust , that I don’t need to. Is this true ?

Laura, whether the property is in a land trust or not, you still need permission to enter or you are trespassing. You will need to send a letter to the address on the deed that put the property into the land trust (you can look this up online in the country recorder’s website), and ask for permission. The trust may or may not respond to you. I would suggest that if you do not get permission in writing, that you not trespass anymore.
