If I already have a piece of property in my name, can I still put it in a land trust and if so, will it cause issues with the mortgage company?
Yes, you can. If the home is your personal residence, there is not problem with the mgt. co. If the property is an investment, you would possibly violate the due-on-sale clause of your loan/note. Practically speaking, the lender would never know and be happy as long as you continue to make your payments.
